Chartered Accountants Ireland syllabus The Chartered Accountants Ireland syllabus focuses on the key competencies required of a modern, newly qualified Chartered Accountant and, crucially, to provide students with the transferable skills to perform in an ever-changing business environment. The subjects outlined below are complemented by the Online Chartered Accountant Diary of Professional Development competencies which are acquired in the workplace. There are three academic levels in Chartered Accountancy. CA Proficiency 1 (CAP1)
CA Proficiency 2 (CAP2)
Students are required to successfully complete a hands-on IT assessment, Accounting in a Computer Environment, prior to commencing the FAE. Final Admitting Exam (FAE) FAE Core must be completed by all students. For FAE Elective, students must complete one elective. For 2009/2010, electives will be offered in:
examinations Elevation Programme students will be entered automatically in the examination for the combination of subjects you have selected for your course enrolment. The Examination Department will issue to you a letter of admission to the examination approximately 3 weeks before the examination session.
